The Dry West Tour

The West of Madagascar is known for its impressive natural wonders such as the Baobab trees. The road there from Antananarivo is a good road with many things to see: overwhelming nature, impressive highlands and beautiful rice fields. One of the absolute highlights of this trip is a visit to the famous Baobab Avenue, where you can watch a breathtaking sunset.

We also visit the deciduous dry forest of Kirindy and relax at the wide sandy beaches of Morondava. The meandering, but peaceful river cruise gives you the opportunity to experience the real Madagascar with the isolated villages, where you’ll meet happy children and other local people. If you are lucky you might spot lemurs and various wildlife in their natural environment.

The Tsingy de Bemaraha is among the best National Park to visit in Madagascar. This is the biggest protected area in Madagascar and is classified a Natural World Heritage by Unesco. The reserve’s canyons, gorges, undisturbed forests, lakes and mangrove swamps display an astonishing richness of fauna and flora which have not yet been completely recorded!
