Glacis is an administrative district located on a granitic peninsula on the gentle shores of Mahé’s northern coast. The area is home to just five main beaches, giving the area a humble charm and sense of intimacy that is rare on popular tropical islands. Pine trees and Takamaka trees provide shade, while the silhouettes of local fisherman sailing lazily through the turquoise waters provide postcard views. Apart from its magnificent landscapes, Glacis is renowned for its superb snorkelling opportunities.
