Dining

The main restaurant at Fundu Lagoon is set beneath a thatch canopy with open sides to allow for a view of the ocean.

Meals reflect traditional Zanzibari flavours blended with International cuisine. All seafood is freshly caught, and the wealth of tropical fruits adds an exotic twist to traditional international dishes.

Romantic private beach dinners can be arranged with your own personal chef and waiter to attend to all your needs.

Every Sunday night at Fundu Lagoon is Swahili night. Tables are set up along the wooden jetty for a feat of Swahili cuisine.

At least once a week, beach barbeque’s and picnics are hosted around a beach bonfire.

There are 3 bars at Fundu Lagoon: the Jetty Bar, Pool Bar and Main Bar each offering refreshing beverages and a unique setting.

Surroundings

Fundu consists of 18 tented rooms with sun-warmed showers and comfy beds look out onto the blue waters of the Wambaa gulf. Sandy pathways lead past thatched sitting-areas to a long palm-fringed beach, which bristles with weird crabs and wonderful shells, and, at low tide, the stream of brightly-dressed local women walking along the beach to market beats any fashion parade.
