Facilities
Erected around an enormous mango tree and flanked by a wall of coconut tree trunks and suspended coconuts,The Mango Terrace Bar & Restaurant boasts an authentic tropical design beside the sparkling swimming pool of Coco de Mer. Copper trimmed wood, black slate and ivory tiles together with white table cloths and ambient lighting produce a subtle elegance that blends wonderfully with the relaxed atmosphere to create a warmth and sophistication that is both appealing and ideal for romantic dinner dates and à la carte dinners with friends.
The Hibiscus Restaurant combines a number of exceptional elements to serve up an unforgettable dining and culinary experience. By day guests can indulge their senses with a full English breakfast while singing birds, crashing waves and trickling of the stream below produce a gentle symphony. Once the sun has dipped below the horizon, the restaurant is illuminated by intimate lighting, the air is filled with the tantalising aromas of Creole cuisine and smokey barbecues, and the air buzzes with the sound of ebullient chatter and traditional music.
Anse Bois de Rose is a tiny stretch of beach on the south-western side of Praslin, the second largest island of the Seychelles archipelago. The island is encircled by the Curieuse, La Digue, Cousin and Aride islets. Today, Praslin’s landscapes of wild jungle provide a glorious setting for beach holidays and honeymoons, but during the 18th century, this same untamed land provided a hideout for pirates and Arab merchants. Dwelling within these scenic jungles and the serene Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve are a number of magnificent plant and animal species, including the endangered bulbul, endemic Coco de Mer palm and the peculiar nepenthes pervillei, a carnivorous pitcher plant.
