Madagascar is an island country, the fourth largest island in the world in fact, after Greenland, New Guinea and Borneo. Located south east of Africa in the Indian Ocean, Madagascar is made up of the island itself and small peripheral islands, which boast an incredible biodiversity - 90% of species here are found nowhere else on the planet.

The six provinces of Madagascar are home to a dizzying number of animal and plant species. Over 70 varieties of Lemurs, the islands most famous inhabitants, can be seen. The island is also renowned for it’s famous baobab trees, of the 9 species in the world, 7 are found right here.
